Silent Tours acknowledges the traditional owners of the Kimberley and pays respect to the elders, past, present and emerging as well as their ongoing connection to the land.
Silent Tours takes a different approach to exploring the Kimberley.
On Silent Nature Tours there is no rush, we embrace Kimberley time.

Silent Tours is proudly locally owned and operated by Steve, who has called Kununurra home for almost two decades. During that time, he has spent countless hours bushwalking, four-wheel driving, camping and exploring the Ord River and the spectacular landscapes of the East Kimberley.
It didn't take long for Steve to realise there was something special about spending time in nature. Beyond the incredible scenery and wildlife, he noticed that people naturally slowed down, relaxed and connected more deeply with the environment around them. Curious about why this happened, he drew on his background in health and explored the scientific research behind the benefits of nature.
What he discovered confirmed what many of us instinctively feel. Decades of evidence show that spending time in natural environments can help reduce stress, improve wellbeing and restore both mind and body. Whether it's walking through the bush, listening to birdsong, watching wildlife or simply sitting quietly beside a river, nature has a remarkable ability to help us reconnect and recharge.
That philosophy became the foundation of Silent Tours.
Today, Steve combines his qualifications as a Nature Guide with his passion for photography, wildlife and exploring the Kimberley to create small-group experiences that are informative, relaxed and deeply connected to the natural environment. Every tour is personally guided, giving guests the opportunity to ask questions, enjoy the journey at a comfortable pace and discover places and stories that many visitors would otherwise miss.
Steve has extensive experience working with East Kimberley communities and has completed numerous cultural awareness programs throughout the region. He is committed to sharing the Kimberley with respect for its people, history and remarkable natural environment.
As a keen photographer since childhood, Steve is always happy to help guests capture memorable images of their Kimberley adventure. He still jokes that no photograph truly does justice to the beauty of the East Kimberley—but that simply gives people another reason to experience it for themselves.
By choosing Silent Tours, you're choosing a proudly locally owned Kununurra business that values small groups, genuine local knowledge, environmental responsibility and authentic experiences. Every tour is an opportunity to experience the East Kimberley through local eyes and leave with a deeper appreciation of this extraordinary part of Australia.
