Experience the Kimberley in a unique and intriguing way. Observe nature with fresh eyes, and enhanced ability to discover the hidden secrets of this exceptionally diverse landscape.
Nature immersion, also known Shinrin-yoku", or nature bathing, originated in Japan and combines the benefits of bush walking and slowing down to interact with nature. Your guide will show you how to enhance your senses allowing you to see and hear those hidden magical moments.
People have a natural attraction to spending time in nature because we evolved in nature. In our hectic lives with modern demands, extended hours spent indoors with screen time, we have never been so disconnected from nature before as we are now.
There are so many new distractions that we filter out the majority of visual and audio information we encounter. As a result, many have lost the ability to notice the finer details of our beautiful environment and walk right on by amazing formations and wildlife.
Tune in and discover the hidden magic of the Kimberley.
Part nature walk, part plant and wildlife observation, part connection, 100% discovery. Come along for a bush walk and explore the wonders of nature.
Time spent outside in nature with your children strengthens parent/child bond while enhancing developmental skills, improving sleep, increasing physical and mental health, protecting eyes from short-sightedness, and improving emotional wellbeing.
What to expect on a Family Nature Discovery walk:
Explore Hidden Valley on a gentle, mostly flat track.
Introduction to the area, Tune in the senses so together with your children you can feel, see, hear, smell all the hidden wonders. Activities are designed to allow slow and mindful exploration, see things with 'eagle eyes', and if time allows a creative family activity will culminate the mornings discovery.
Tune in to nature and discover what you and your family can find.
